The dandelion is the most overlooked flower in the landscape — familiar to the point of invisibility, dismissed as a weed before it's ever really seen. This monochromatic study changes that. Shot against pure black and rendered without color, what remains is pure form: the dense layered petals, the luminous architectural center, the surprising complexity of something most people have never stopped to look at twice. Each photo is printed on a limited basis. There will only be 20 prints of this each photo made before it will be retired. Your photo print will have a print number and my signature on the back. The photos are printed locally and have a matte finish.

My brand

Some people discover their creative voice early. Others spend decades refining it.

Hello, I’m your artist, Mia Gunn. I’ve been behind a lens for nearly thirty years. Weddings, corporate events, newborns, proms, and the quiet stillness of outdoor and still life photography. Through all of it, I developed something that no amount of technical training can teach: an eye for the detail that makes a viewer stop and actually look. That eye is why I created Kolorealm Designs.

This Austin, Texas based company brings together fine art photography and (coming soon) original textile wall art. The fine art prints begin with subjects most people walk past without a second glance. Through careful composition and printing on Hahnemühle fine art paper trusted by galleries and photographers worldwide, these become images worth living with.

More recently, I discovered rug tufting and it’s become something close to an obsession. What draws me to it is the same thing that drew me to photography: the ability to take something I see and make it impossible to ignore. At Kolorealm Designs, tufting is not a side project. It is where this work is going.
